USE OF IMAGES IN OUR PORTFOLIO
This information applies to the Sweetmama website located at www.sweetmama.com (and all associated sites linked to www.sweetmama.com by Sweetmama, its subsidiaries and affiliates), as well as any social media sites controlled by Sweetmama and its subsidiaries and affiliates.
Our portfolio is a tasteful representation of my most mature work as an artist. We only include the crop of the cream of our portraits in it. We strive to make every portrait I create portfolio-worthy, but the truth is that few photos ever make it in the portfolio; therefore, if your portraits have made it there, it is because they represent some of our best work; it makes us proud to have made them, and we hope you are equally proud to have them.
Many of our clients are politicians, media personas, corporation executives, and generally people in the public sphere. To protect the public image of our most sensitive clients we created a best-practices privacy protocol to gain control of the whereabouts of our images so that our clients are represented tastefully. Whether in the public eye or not, all our clients enjoy the same degree of protection and care. Please know that before a businesswoman, we are human beings, and parents ourselves, and we will do whatever in my powers to protect you, and put your mind at ease.
The importance of portfolio for us as artists, and why we wish to be able to publish our work in our portfolio
As artists, our portfolio is our identity. Striving to make our portraits portfolio-worthy drives us to overachieve: to try new things, work more hours on processing our portraits, source new props, apply new processing techniques; to grow and develop! We create my portraits with lots of care and love to our art, and as artists, we wish to have the right to include a photograph we feel proud of in my portfolio. Where a businessperson would apply the least effort that gets the job done, an artist is willing to work extra to make a portrait that will do her justice in her portfolio for years to come, and that will, by extension, become part of her artistic identity.
Here is were our photographs may be published:
Media operated directly by us, such as in our blog(s) found on www.sweetmamaphoto.com and other pages within our Site. I may also add a limited number of images from the session on our Facebook, instagram, vimeo pages (or other social media platforms that we may operate in the future). We normally only add the cream of the crop of our collective work on social platforms and if we use an image on our Facebook business page (or other social media), then this means we consider this image one of our best!
Media not controlled or operated directly by us: sometimes our images are published in print/online media where we do not have direct control, such as in media outlets where our work may be featured through interviews and editorials, or, in competitions. If you have raised any privacy concerns with us beforehand, then if we select any images from your session to be included in any of these publications, we will first ask for your prior permission.
